Big names confirmed for £100m Liverpool Shopping Park

A major fashion retailer is among five new stores confirmed for the new Liverpool Shopping Park.

The £100 million development is expected to become one of the UK’s biggest retail parks when it opens in October.

River Island has been confirmed to open its third Liverpool branch at the centre joining stores in the city centre and New Mersey Retail Park.

TK Maxx , Smyths Toys, Subway and an as yet unnamed high street fashion retailer have also agreed to take units.

The latest raft of tenants follows the recent announcement that Outfit, JD Sports, M&S Food Hall and Boots are also joining the park, as well as leisure operators Hollywood Bowl, Frankie & Benny’s and Chiquito.

River Island, TK Maxx, Smyths Toys and the fashion retailer will take units in the Western Quarter; a horseshoe of 17 retail units which front on to Edge Lane.

Subway will be located close to the new Frankie & Benny’s and Chiquito restaurants, at the park’s entrance.

James Maule-Ffinch, senior asset manager for developer The Derwent Group, says: “We’ve always wanted Liverpool Shopping Park to have a strong focus on lifestyle and fashion and that is starting to come to bear with our latest signings.

“We’re in final negotiations with a number of other retailers and we’ll be excited to announce those in due course.”
