The YM Liverpool story

In 1999 YM Liverpool magazine was founded as Your Move by Fiona, Kim and Dave. A love and passion for their home city of Liverpool, alongside no magazine covering Liverpool’s renaissance, led them to create a publication dedicated to everything happening across the city and this remains at the heart of the publication’s content today.

They wanted YM Liverpool magazine to be a platform on which news and stories could be published to showcase Liverpool as an amazing place to live, work and play. The magazine quickly became a barometer tracking Liverpool’s regeneration, which included a strong focus on the region’s property growth. YM Liverpool remains the leader in reporting the latest property news and analysis from across the Liverpool City Region.

Immersed in the city’s growth YM Liverpool developed a strong sense for what was happening in the city’s cultural scene. From theatre, food and drink to music, art and clubs, YM Liverpool covers everything in its independently written features and articles, making it a fantastic what’s on guide for locals as well as its ever-growing global audience.

Fast forward 20 years and YM Liverpool remains at the forefront of Liverpool’s continual growth and is still driven by the same love and passion for what the city offers as a place to live, work and play. The YM Liverpool team may have grown from its humble beginnings but the same values inspire the magazine’s journalists, photographers and designers today as they did in 1999.

YM Liverpool is proud of its origins in print and remains committed to its monthly edition as Liverpool’s leading independent property and culture magazine. Online is also really important to the magazine to grow its audience and reach more people with relevant, informative and engaging content. YM Liverpool’s website is run by the same team behind the magazine and brings the biggest property, culture and lifestyle news to readers every day, ensuring it continues to be at the heart of what is happening in the city.
