BBC One seeks Liverpool residents for ‘home swap holiday’ series

A BBC One programme is looking for people in Liverpool to temporarily swap homes with others as part of the Home Away From Home Series.

Couples, be it partners, friends or family members, can apply to swap homes with another couple from the UK for three days in order to experience local cuisine and tourism destinations.

In return couples will open their homes to visitors from elsewhere, with producers describing Liverpool and other filming locations as “stunning parts of the UK”.

A spokesperson for the series says: “Do you live in a home you’d be happy to swap with someone elsewhere in the UK for a short break?

“Would you like the chance to have a new experience and discover local cuisine, sight-seeing that goes beyond the guide book, and an authentic place to stay? It’s very much a warm-hearted series and celebrates the beauty of our homes and localities in the UK.”

Previous episodes of the series have featured a couple from Cheshire swapping places with a family from Coventry, while other destinations have included Cumbria, Yorkshire, Nottingham and Norfolk.

Applicants who want to take part in the new series are being asked to email homeawayfromhome@bbc.co.uk.
