Expanded plans for North Point apartments submitted

Revised plans for a major apartment complex in the Pall Mall area of the city centre have been submitted to Liverpool City Council.

Architect practice Fletcher Rae has expanded proposals for the North Point mixed-use development to include 507 residential units across four buildings of four, 11, 14 and 19 storeys.

First approved in 2008 before plans were withdrawn for revision, North Point will also include office and retail space, leisure facilities including a gym, outdoor paddle court, spa and restaurant and a 517-space multi-storey car park.

Fletcher Rae has confirmed that the scheme was expanded in response to the high demand for apartments at the development.

A spokesperson from the firm says: “The expansion of the scheme is in response to a high demand in sales and permits additional residential units, particularly the live/work-style apartments on the ground level and first floor.”

Fletcher Rae has collaborated with Alan Johnson & Partners Structural Engineers, Indigo Planning, Fabrik Landscape Architects and SCP on the revised planning application.
