First look at proposed redevelopment of Park Road’s Pineapple Hotel

The first images of how a redeveloped Pineapple Hotel on Park Road could look have been revealed.

Last summer Liverpool Construction Group announced it had purchased the well-known building with plans to transform it into “high-quality” shared living accommodation.

Those plans to change the use of the site from a hotel into a 13-bed HMO (House in Multiple Occupancy) have now been submitted to Liverpool City Council by applicant Millennial Developments Limited and include images of how various rooms could look.

According to a document included with the proposals, the Pineapple’s bar will not be kept following the revamp – it’s instead to be converted into either a shop or an office.

Speaking following its purchase of the hotel last summer, Geoff Parker of Liverpool Construction Group, said: “We have been developing property in Liverpool for the last four years for young professionals, with over 300 units rented.

“L8 is an exciting area so close to the city centre, lots of potential for redevelopment and steeped in history from the shipping trade.

“We already have property in our portfolio in L8 and we want to continue adding value to the area.”

Mr Parker is listed as a director of Millennial Developments and Liverpool Construction Group with Companies House.
