Popular fast food chain Five Guys could be set for its second Liverpool opening.
Plans have been submitted to transform a vacant shop on Bold Street which could form part of a 114-seater restaurant.
Spread over two floors with 30 seats on the ground floor and 84 on the first, the eatery has applied to open daily from 11am to 11pm.
Planning consent for the ground floor of the proposed restaurant was granted in January with Five Guys now looking to secure permission for a change of use on the first floor from its previous use as a shop.
First opened in Virginia in 1986, Five Guys has more than 1,200 different branches across the United States and 31 in the UK including one in the Trafford Centre and most recently here in Liverpool at Queen Square.
The opening of the Queen Square branch was the second most successful in the chain’s history with over 10,000 sandwiches being sold in the first week alone.
