The Florist to open in former Old Blind School next week

New bar and restaurant The Florist has announced it will open on Hardman Street next week (Monday 23 April).

Situated on the site of the former Old Blind School restaurant, The Florist will offer an extensive cocktail menu, 60 handpicked beers and a “vibrant” food menu.

Predicted to be the “most photographed” bar in Liverpool, the all day and night venue will feature an “abundance” of flowers throughout, with a floral photo wall taking centre stage at the top of the staircase in the Grade II-listed building.

In-keeping with the flowery theme, the cocktail menu has been inspired by three different styles of floristry: ‘English Summer Garden’, ‘Ikebana’ and ‘Modern Contemporary’.

Alongside its food and drink offering, The Florist will also hold masterclasses in the crafts of cocktails, floristry and gin, as well as ale tastings.

Joel Lee, general manager of The Florist, which also has a location in Bristol, says: “The Florist needs be seen to be believed how pretty and light the site has now become.

“We know it is going to become the place to be in Liverpool and we can’t wait to open.”
