Street food stall Hafla Hafla has announced when it plans to open its first restaurant in the city.
The Arabic-inspired stand and its halloumi fries have become a popular fixture at Baltic Market in Cains Brewery Village.
In January, YM Liverpool revealed owner Tim Haggis planned to take his operation to the next level with a standalone eatery on the popular South Liverpool street.
Tim has told now told us he hopes to open at the beginning of October and is “super excited” about the new venture.
He adds that “huge renovation works” are currently underway at a former off-licence which will house the restaurant.
Alongside its halloumi fries, popular dishes on the menu at Hafla Hafla’s food stall include falafel wraps, mezze boxes and lamb shawarmas.
The new permanent restaurant will include a mezzanine level and offer a “new, exciting and desirable dining destination for the lively locality”.
It’s understood the eatery will provide just under 50 covers and employ seven members of staff.
