The second wave of artists for Liverpool International Music Festival 2015 (LIMF) has been announced, with The Tea Street Band, Silent Sheep and Holy Thursday representing Liverpool acts at the event.
The music festival includes LIMF Summer Jam, Europe’s biggest free music event, where Elli Ingram, Zak Abel and folk, blues and soul singer-songwriter JP Cooper are the latest acts to be announced. Taking place in Sefton Park on 29 to 31 August, the festival has already announced acts such as Basement Jaxx, Labrinth and Katy B as headliners on the Central Stage at the event.
Other acts include DJs Anton Powers, Ian Longo and Liam Hincks from Juice Liverpool, as well as BBC Radio 1 DJ Phil Taggart and Capitals Xtra’s, RasKwarme.
The third annual LIMF has teamed up with Liverpool promoter Circus for an after party on the Saturday night featuring Lewis Boardman, Catz ‘n Dogz and Circus founder, Yousef. The event also includes two Liverpool artists forming a new partnership with two South African artists to create and perform a selection of songs about activism, struggle and identity.
To celebrate the announcement, festival organisers have released a new video preview of the event.
