Fundraisers are being invited to sign up to this year’s Liverpool Sleepout as plans have been announced.
Friends, work colleagues and families can sleep outside for a night to raise awareness of homelessness and boost cash for The Whitechapel Centre charity.
The 13 October event will take place within a safe area in the grounds of St James in the City Church on Upper Parliament Street, with stewards and access to toilets and refreshments.
This year will be the fourth year homelessness charity The Whitechapel Centre has organised the initiative, which aims to create an enjoyable and memorable experience whilst also sharing a serious message about the issues faced by people sleeping rough.
Anyone aged 18 or over can take part and prizes will be handed out for the best fundraisers, as well as the best onesie worn on the night and the best shelter built to stay warm and dry.
Anyone signing up for the sleepout will be asked to raise sponsorship.
Places for the Liverpool Sleepout can now be secured online.
