Details of this year’s Summer Arts Market at Liverpool Cathedral have been revealed.
The region’s biggest summer craft fair returns to the Liverpool landmark in June with over 200 artists, designers and makers alongside food and vintage fairs
Taking place on the slightly earlier date of 2 June, the sixth annual Summer Arts Market will feature the creative work of some of the region’s best artists, designers and makers selling handmade work and original designs directly to the public.
Thousands of items will be exhibited and on sale – everything from photography, ceramics and jewellery to screen-prints, decorations, cards, clothing, photography, woodwork, glassware, textiles and handmade beauty products.
Downstairs in the cathedral’s concert room, a pop-up vintage fair will offer a range of vintage clothing, jewellery, handbags, homewares and vinyl.
Along the corridor in the dedicated food fair, local artisan food producers are on hand with delicious food and drink including chocolate, liqueurs, tea, jams, cake and much more.
Christina Grogan, director of organisers Open Culutre, says: “We’ve been doing the arts markets for a number of years – this is our sixth summer event – and we’re always amazed by the range and quality of the work submitted.
“They’re a great opportunity not only for the public to buy amazing pieces, but also for them to support independent artists and for those artists to make connections that might help to grow their business.”
The Summer Arts Market will take place on Saturday 2 June 2018 from 10am–6pm at Liverpool Cathedral.
