Location of new Liverpool street food market revealed

The location of a new food and drink market from the group behind a string of popular Liverpool venues has been revealed.

Graffiti Spirits Group says the concept, which was initially announced last July, will specialise in handmade gifts, the “finest street food” and “the coolest drinks”.

YM Liverpool can now exclusively reveal that the market will be based at 46 Duke Street, a former off licence and warehouse known as Swiftdrinks.

The former Swiftdrinks off licence on Duke Street will become home to the new food market

The as yet unnamed market will “act as a platform for the city’s independent brands” while offering visitors and Liverpool residents “an all-encompassing space in which to try the best the city has to offer”.

Matthew Farrell, who founded Graffitti Spirits in 2007 with John Ennis, confirmed the location to YM Liverpool, saying he hopes it will open in the final quarter of 2018.

Independent bar and restaurant group Graffitti Spirits owns a number of food and drink venues across Liverpool city centre including Santa Chupitos, El Bandito, Salt Dog Slim’s and Santa Maluco.
