Cains Brewery visitors can “become part of the cast” when a movie set themed bar and music venue opens at the site.
The team behind Ghetto Golf and Birdies Bar and BBQ has teamed up with award-winning musician and live music promoter Ethan Allen to bring ON AIR to the Baltic Triangle.
The venue and cocktail bar, which will incorporate a stage for gigs and a secret garden mezzanine bar overlooking the action, is expected to open to the public by the end of March and will be a permanent fixture for the space previously occupied by the Christmas pop-up Home Alone bar.
Featuring 60ft-high film sets, the venue recreating a TV and film studio therefore be a feature of the Upper Parliament Street side of Cains Brewery Village, which also home to other bars and restaurants including Kiosk, Dockleaf, Alhambra and the Peaky Blinders bar.
Ethan, who has written music for TV and film and also re-opened Liverpool’s legendary Eric’s venue in 2010, says: “Inside a huge warehouse we have built ON AIR, a full movie set, where you become part of the cast.”
According to Ethan the “theatre” of bars and live music venues is something that always seems to be missing these days, and he adds: “In the same way Cirque de Soleil is different from a regular circus I knew my next venue had to be different from any other live music bar.”
