NWPAs 2017 winners revealed at circus-themed ceremony

The North West’s property industry celebrated a year of success last night (19 October) as this year’s prestigious NWPAs took place.

Winning projects and firms were unveiled across a host of residential and commercial categories as the glittering awards ceremony, sponsored by Countryside, was held in Lutyens Crypt at Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral.

There were big residential victories on the night for Countryside’s Highfield Green development which picked up the Regeneration Award, and Abode Estate Agents won the Residential Property Agency of the Year for the fourth year running.

A Judges’ Special Award was also presented to the charity Housing People Building Communities (HPBC) in its 15th anniversary year, recognising its “pioneering” ‘sweat equity’ initiative which has enabled buyers to afford their own homes by contributing to the building of them.

Meanwhile it was a successful night for Urban Splash, which picked up the Best New Home award in the large scheme category for its modular concept ‘House’. The accolade was one of two presented to the firm as it also won the Best Commercial Scheme prize for its Stubbs Mill project in Manchester.

Awards for Best Student Landlord, Best Affordable Home to Rent or Buy, Best New Home for small and mid-sized schemes, Show Home of the Year and Best Property Law Firm were among the other residential titles given during the event, which followed a lavish circus theme.

Plus guests were tasked with voting for the best dressed table as this year saw the introduction of a new Interactive Award, sponsored by BMD Law, which was won by Luxor Estates.

A drinks reception and three-course meal was accompanied by entertaining live magic, music and dance along with a quiz.

For full NWPAs coverage, winners’ reactions and pictures from the night, don’t miss the 3 November issue of Your Move Magazine.
