Liverpool Mutual Homes (LMH) has withdrawn its proposals to build almost 100 new Shared Ownership homes at a former golfing site in the Liverpool City Region.
The housing provider recently submitted plans to develop a mix of two, three and four-bedroom houses on the Bromborough land, but has now dropped out of the project.
Liverpool-based John McCall Architects drew up designs for the “100% affordable homes” which would have been built at the New Chester Road site had the plans progressed.
The proposals submitted to Wirral Council stated that the project aimed to reach practical completion of the units and final handovers to LMH around June 2019.
Meanwhile, the residential development of another section of the site – which was once occupied by Port Sunlight Golf Driving Range – is being “actively progressed” by Bellway Homes.
Your Move has contacted Bellway for an update on its plans for the site.
