Promenade Estates has confirmed it will put new residential plans forward for a 10-acre site in Ellesmere Port.
The developer has purchased the Mercury Road plot from Hansteen Holdings PLC, and is exploring options to replace a previous 179-home vision.
Planning permission had been granted to build the homes but expired at the end of 2018.
Dan Hynd, managing director of Promenade Estates, says: “We’re excited by the potential of the site and are working with our architects to examine different development options before we consult with the local authority.
“The housing market remains in good shape in Ellesmere Port and this site will help the authority achieve its housing targets.”
The company says it is also considering further acquisitions as it looks to invest funds from the disposal of assets including New Brighton’s Marine Point development to Aprirose, Southport’s Ramada Plaza leisure scheme to Bliss Estates and Liverpool’s Cargo Building to Vista Fund.
