Get Ready for the Weekend in Liverpool
Christmas street party, Pop Up in the Palm House and more
FESTIVE | Christmas street party in Liverpool ONE
See the retail and leisure complex light up with an evening of fun and festivities from 4-8pm today (16 November), getting the countdown to Christmas truly underway.
The specially commissioned ‘Polaris; Dare to Dream’ light installation will illuminate Chavasse Park, and there’ll also be live entertainment and pop-up pantomime previews.
CRAFTS | Local makers to Pop Up in the Palm House
Sefton Park Palm House will once again become a hive of artisan activity this weekend as Pop Up in the Palm House takes place on 17-18 November.
Scour the stalls for a unique Christmas gift or get in the festive spirit with bite to eat and a drink of mulled wine.
ART | Explore migration through the arts at hands-on event
Investigate cultural representations of migration through art, literature and music on Saturday (17 November), as Liverpool Hope University researchers host a day of hands-on activities.
The event at the Museum of Liverpool forms part of this year’s ‘Being Human’ festival of the humanities, with visitors having a chance to bind their own book to explore the connection between passports and literature; and make sound projects and collages to reflect on migration.
