Street Orchestra Live to pop up around the city
The UK’s pop-up 40-strong Street Orchestra Live is in Liverpool for the first time and will be performing for free in public spaces around the city.
They’ll play music ranging from pop and TV theme tunes to classical and opera on Saturday and Sunday (5-6 January) at venues including the Museum of Liverpool, Liverpool ONE and Bluecoat to name a few.
Dine out for ‘Veganuary’ in Liverpool
If you’ve planned a plant-based start to the year then we’ve got some dining out inspiration for the weekend ahead.
Find out what our reviewer thought of Home Slice Pizza Ltd’s 100% meat and dairy-free menu, or order vegan to snap up a free drink at Crazy Pedros.
Last chance to see Polaris
Artist Mark Robinson’s specially commissioned ‘Polaris’ light spectacular is on display until 6 January, illuminating Liverpool ONE’s Chavasse Park.
Offering the most impact at night, the 88 colour-changing cubes aim to show how far and wide the city’s culture has spread, with columns representing its people, music, art, trade, education and sport.
