Talented creatives in Liverpool could develop and grow their skills through a six-month development programme in the city.
A recruitment drive is now underway for Hope Street Limited’s Emerging Artists Programme 2016, which is renowned for helping individuals across a range of artistic platforms.
Starting in June the scheme is subsidised, enabling participants to take part free of charge, and provides a full-time intensive programme for creatives to work alongside professional artists of international calibre, network and meet key figures from Liverpool organisations.
Applicants can include actors, directors, musical directors and composers, designers and makers, movement directors, producers, production managers and stage managers.
Peter Ward, director of charity Hope Street Limited, which is a national portfolio organisation of Arts Council England and is funded by Liverpool City Council through the Culture Liverpool Investment Programme, says: “The Emerging Artists Programme provides a real insight into the many different career paths of the creative industries and the opportunities available.
“It is a great platform to kick-start your professional career in the arts, and 90% of participants who have successively completed the Emerging Artists Programme course have secured paid work in their chosen field.”
The deadline for applications is 12pm on Wednesday 6 April, and interviews and auditions will take place in the week commencing 18 April.
Candidates must by aged 18 or over and there is no upper age limit.
