Sutton Kersh’s West Derby team put their baking skills to the test to raise funds for this year’s Comic Relief appeal.
Staff at the branch presented their homemade cake creations to a panel of judges including Liverpool FC legend Alan Kennedy, and the estate agent’s managing director, James Kersh and marketing manager, Helen Goodwin during a ‘Great British Bake Off’ style contest on Red Nose Day.
It was part of a whole day of fundraising festivities at the office, led by office manager Josie Newport, which also saw the team dressing up in red as well as selling cakes to visiting clients and surrounding businesses in West Derby Village.
With Sutton Kersh raising more than £335 for charity throughout the day, James Kersh says: “What an amazing effort from the West Derby team, all the cakes were delicious. It’s such a worthy cause and I’m grateful for the time everyone has spent putting this together.
“The busy world of property never stops but taking time out to think of others less fortunate is a real testament to the commitment of our staff.”
Special guest Alan Kennedy adds: “In my football days we didn’t eat that much sweet food so coming here and having to eat cakes has certainly been different! They tasted superb.
“It’s for a great cause and everybody comes together during this type of event so I’m glad James and Helen invited me to be a judge.”
