The Tesco Express on Strand Street is currently to closest Tesco store to The Cargo Building.

In September 2017, YM Liverpool reported that the grocer was hoping to open an Express store in Williamson Square.

The address named in planning documents was part of the Marks & Spencer building – the £5 million extension to its flagship store which was completed in 2013.

Regarding this possible new store, the Tesco spokesperson added: “We are still committed to the area and are looking for other opportunities for a Tesco Express store.”
