Bold Street’s LEAF is celebrating after winning a prestigious blind-tasted food award for its tea.
The tea shop and bar received a 1-star coveted Great Taste Award for its Autumn Fire black tea blend, which was one of 10,000 products to be judged in the competition.
A panel of hundreds of foodie experts including TV chef and author Valentine Warner, MasterChef judge and restaurant critic Charles Campion and Great British Bake Off winner Frances Quinn to name a few were deciding on the winners.
On receiving the recognition, LEAF director Natalie Haywood says: “We are delighted to have won this prestigious award for the second year running.
“We are very passionate about all of our teas and it’s fantastic to get the recognition for one of our most popular blends.”
The 2016 accreditation for artisan and speciality food producers will reach a finale on 5 September when the Golden Fork winners are announced for each region during a special awards dinner at London’s Royal Garden Hotel. The Great Taste Supreme Champion 2016 will also be crowned.
