Family-run Waterloo coffee shop plans Albert Dock opening

The owners of a popular family-run Waterloo coffee shop are planning to launch a new branch at Albert Dock.

Peaberry Coffee House boasts a varied food and drink menu including all-day breakfasts, fresh sandwiches and extravagant milkshakes.

The coffee shop is aiming to open at The Colonnades in Albert Dock in June or July this year – subject to planning consent.

Co-owner of Peaberry, Clare, told YM Liverpool: “Everything on our menu is freshly prepared in house and cooked to order. We have a huge vegan and vegetarian offering.

“Along with our current food offering we will also be offering ready prepared rustic sandwiches to take out, hopefully giving all of the office workers on Albert Dock a new place to come and grab a quick bite to eat.”

Opened on St John’s Road in May 2017, the coffeehouse gets its name from the Brazilian ‘Peaberry’ coffee it serves.

Only one coffee seed forms inside the cherry of the Peaberry bean instead of the usual two. It’s claimed the bean offers more flavour and gives a more even roast due to its oval shape.
