With just over a month to go until the 18-strong team takes on Wales’ highest mountain in aid of the Liverpool charity, it has highlighted the ongoing need for vital funding to help rough sleepers and those on the brink of homelessness around the city.
Ahead of the 20 April climb by Move Publishing, the company behind YM Liverpool, Whitechapel Centre events and community fundraiser Charlotte Hopkins says: “It’s absolutely wonderful that the Move Publishing team is fundraising for The Whitechapel Centre by taking on Mt. Snowdon.
“Unfortunately, we are seeing a rise in the number of people who are facing homelessness in our city. The money raised by the Move Publishing team means that we can help more and more people who need our support.”
During the fundraising trek, Move Publishing’s mountaineers will follow the Llanberis Path to the summit of the 1,085-metre mountain. The task is expected to take around six hours there and back.
