Work is now underway to transform Liverpool’s former Reece’s Ballroom into homes, the developer has confirmed.
Contractor Nobles Construction has started to convert the upper floors of the Parker Street building which are famous for hosting Beatles legend John Lennon’s first wedding.
The beginning of Caro Developments project comes after the firm revealed that preparatory works on the city centre site had uncovered original items and memorabilia from the building’s time as an event space.
Designed by architect Falconer Chester Hall, the scheme will create 91 new studio and one bedroom apartments aimed at young professionals working in the city.
Lee Darwen, operations director at Caro Developments says: “We are delighted to announce that construction work has begun to transform the former Reece’s Ballroom into the Parker Street Residences.
“Having Nobles on board is extremely exciting and we are happy to be working alongside them to regenerate the Parker Street building and launch a new era of city living in Liverpool.”
