Wyld Sauna has begun work on a major expansion at Wyld Sauna has begun work on a major expansion at Princes Dock, continuing the development of its floating sauna experience. Since launching in November 2024, the unique attraction has welcomed thousands of visitors for hot and cold therapy sessions, quickly becoming a distinctive part of Liverpool’s waterfront. The expansion has been shaped by customer feedback and will introduce new facilities and programming designed to make the space more inclusive and accessible. Plans include community-curated sessions for Liverpool’s diverse communities, improved accessibility features including wheelchair access, and upgrades to the existing sauna and cold plunge facilities. A refurbished food and drink offer will also be introduced, evolving from morning pastries and coffee to a wider pre and post-sauna menu including juices, pizza and natural wine. While works are underway, the existing sauna will remain open with minimal disruption.

A planning application has been submitted to insta A planning application has been submitted to install four new outdoor padel courts on the former bowling green at Aigburth People’s Hall (APH) in South Liverpool. The project proposes to transform the disused bowling green at the rear of APH into a “modern padel facility”, complete with LED court lighting and landscaped surroundings. A new pedestrian entrance is also included in the plans, allowing access to the new courts from Mossley Hill Drive (Sefton Park).

Site clearance and groundworks are under way at the six-figure Birkdale Padel Club development in Victoria Park, which is the first project by Sefton Padel. Alongside the courts, the scheme will feature a grab-and-go coffee kiosk, vending machines for playing equipment, drinks and snacks, changing facilities, outdoor seating, cycle storage and an office for staff. Birkdale Padel Club will be open daily from 7am until 10pm and already has a waiting list of 2,500 people ahead of its launch.

The tower, designed by SimpsonHaugh, will comprise a 5-star hotel and luxury residences managed by the hotel operator. The news, revealed at the MIPIM international property trade fair, comes just weeks after the scheme’s first tower of 28 storeys, named ‘No. 1 Kings’, received planning approval from Liverpool City Council.

Liverpool Restaurant Week returns this April, cele Liverpool Restaurant Week returns this April, celebrating the city’s characterful hospitality scene. Organised and funded by @liverpoolbidcompany, @liverpoolrestaurantweek was launched to spotlight the restaurants and eateries of Liverpool city centre. Each venue creates a culinary or drink offer to take part in the week, ranging from £5 to £35. With an urge to explore the city plate by plate, foodies are encouraged to try venues they’ve been to before, sample new cuisine or simply experiment by having different courses at various venues over the spread of a week. In 2025, 100 venues took part, with £271k worth of dedicated offers downloaded. Now in its third year, Liverpool Restaurant Week runs from 18–26 April.

A new penthouse show apartment has launched at Tob A new penthouse show apartment has launched at Tobacco Warehouse, the world’s largest brick-built warehouse. Standing beside Stanley Dock in Liverpool’s historic docks quarter, the top-floor apartment was created with the addition of a new upper level to the Grade II-listed landmark. Dressed by @natalieholden__, the penthouse is one of nine on the top floor, each with a generous private roof terrace tucked behind the original parapet. From there, residents can take in views across the city, the River Mersey or the Titanic Hotel, and the new Hill Dickinson Stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock. The penthouses are part of a wider scheme that will eventually deliver more than 550 loft and penthouse-style homes, alongside 100,000 sq. ft of dock-level commercial space.

Liverpool City Council’s planning committee has Liverpool City Council’s planning committee has approved the ‘pathfinder’ building for the £1 billion King Edward Triangle regeneration scheme - a significant milestone in one of the city’s most ambitious development projects. Davos Property Developments Limited, in conjunction with Beetham Davos Ltd, welcomed the approval. Hugh Frost of Beetham Davos commented: “It feels like we’ve pushed a big green button marked ‘go’. "The tower is fully funded by the project shareholders and we will now move forward at pace.” The tower - designed by @brockcarmichael_architects - will deliver 255 one, two and three-bedroom apartments. A residents’ lounge, gym and workspace will be provided on the first floor, with the top floor boasting two indoor lounges and a large outdoor space for barbecues and social gatherings.
