New homes to go before council’s planning committee

A host of new housing projects could be approved by Liverpool City Council at a planning committee meeting next week.

The schemes up for debate include a new apartment complex in the L8 area and Redrow’s plans to build 18 houses at the site of the former Lower Lee School in Woolton.

Also on the agenda is an application to erect 29 houses, comprising 15 three-bedroom properties, 12 two-bedroom homes and two bungalows on land in Mildenhall Road, Chislehurst Avenue, Murrayfield Road and Marlbrook Road in Belle Vale.

Meanwhile, the council’s planning committee will also mull over proposals to construct 14 dwelling houses in the Riverside ward, on a site bounded by Toxteth Street Park Street and Upper Essex Street.

Plans to erect a three-and-a-half storey apartment complex on Linnet Lane in the St Michael’s ward, upon land which abuts the Lark Lane conservation area are recommended for approval subject to conditions, while 29 dwelling houses could be greenlit for New Henderson Street and Warwick Street in the L8 area.

Finally, proposals for an apartment block reaching eight storeys at its highest point will be debated as part of the third phase of the Brunswick Park development in the L8 area.

The planning committee meeting will take place at the Town Hall on November 1.
