Nexus tops £1m in Section 106 contributions for Liverpool regeneration projects

Property developer Nexus Residential has contributed more than £1 million through Section 106 (S106) agreements to support regeneration across the Liverpool City Region.

The contributions, made in collaboration with Liverpool City Council and local stakeholders, are funding improvements to infrastructure, public spaces and community facilities linked to a number of the company’s local developments.

Around £500,000 of the total has come from the Central Park development in the Baltic Triangle, with funds allocated towards enhancements to nearby green spaces. Other schemes generating S106 payments include Element – The Quarter, City Residence and One Baltic Square.

The funding supports the delivery of new homes and community amenities while contributing to the wider regeneration of key areas within the city centre.

Michael Gledhill, CEO of Nexus Residential, says: “As a Liverpool-based business, we’re proud to play an active role in the city’s regeneration. Exceeding £1,000,000 in S106 contributions is a significant milestone and reflects our long-term commitment to creating a better-connected, greener and more vibrant city.

“Our ongoing partnership with Liverpool City Council demonstrates our commitment to supporting local communities, creating better public spaces and helping Liverpool continue to thrive.”

With several major projects now completed or under way, Nexus says it will continue to play a long-term role in Liverpool’s regeneration. The developer is working with Liverpool City Council and local partners to deliver schemes that provide new housing and contribute to wider social, economic and environmental improvements across the city.
