Albert Dock to welcome pop-up farm for Easter

Albert Dock will be turned into a pop-up farm for one day only over Easter weekend, with ducklings, chicks and rabbits waiting to greet guests to the waterfront attraction.

The mini-farm will take place in Anchor Courtyard on Saturday 4 April, allowing young visitors the chance to see the animals in one of several events taking place over the long weekend.

On 5 and 6 April, the Albert Dock Easter egg hunt will take place, with face painting, morris dancers and Easter crafts set to entertain children. Meanwhile, Tate Liverpool and the Beatles Story will hold family workshops indoors if the weather is poor.

The Easter weekend festivities will begin on 3 April, when Mr Barnard and his Victorian circus workshop visits Albert Dock with a troop of characters ranging from giant Chic Eggs on legs, butterflies and other spring-inspired performers.

Peter Cronin, director of development and marketing for Albert Dock Liverpool, says:
“Easter traditionally signals the start of Albert Dock’s spring/summer season – and this year we have all the ingredients for a brilliant day out for the whole family during the spring break. We’ve got animals, chocolate-making and colourful characters to make Albert Dock the place to be this Easter.”
