H&M’s ARKET heading to Liverpool ONE

A new store from the H&M Group described as a “modern-day market” is to open in Liverpool ONE.

Expected to launch in early autumn, ‘ARKET’ will occupy a two-storey unit on Paradise Street previously home to H&M.

Offering “essential products” for men, women, children and the home, the new store will include a vegetarian café based on the ‘New Nordic Food Manifesto’.

The Liverpool branch will be ARKET’s fifth UK site – joining three stores in London and one soon to open at Kent’s Bluewater Shopping Centre.

Lars Axelsson, ARKET’s managing director, says: “We entered the UK with two great central locations in London last autumn, followed by an opening in East London earlier this year.

“Liverpool ONE is an innovative and inspiring shopping destination and we feel very excited about the opportunity to meet new customers and to expand our presence in the UK.”

Alison Clegg, director of asset management at Liverpool ONE owner Grosvenor Europe, adds: “The signing of ARKET secures one of Europe’s most interesting new brands for Liverpool ONE.

“Their presence adds even more appeal to our offer, which is unique in the North West and one of the most compelling in the UK.”

The news follows the recent announcement that fellow H&M Group brand, COS (Collection of Style), is also going to open a regional flagship store at Liverpool ONE.
