Chippy chain eyes up Paradise Street spot

An East Midlands fish and chip chain could be heading to Liverpool.

George’s Tradition, which has 10 takeaways and three restaurants across Derbyshire, wants to open in Chancery House on Paradise Street.

The operator has applied to Liverpool City Council for permission to erect a ‘George’s’ sign on the ground floor of the mixed-use building opposite Liverpool ONE.

In 2014, George’s was named the Best Multiple Fish and Chip Operator Award at the National Fish and Chip Awards.

It’s not known at this stage whether the new eatery will be a takeaway or a more traditional restaurant offering.

Your Move has approached George’s for comment.
