A Liverpool estate agency is gearing up for a full-day cycling challenge this December to raise money for one of the city’s leading homelessness charities.
Curlett Jones Estates has announced that its team will swap property viewings for pedals on Thursday, 11 December, cycling non-stop from 9am to 5pm on an electric gym bike inside the company’s Waterloo office.
All funds raised will go directly to The Whitechapel Centre, which supports thousands of people across the region who are sleeping rough, living in hostels or struggling to maintain accommodation.
The Whitechapel Centre works with more than 4,000 people each year, offering wide-ranging services designed to support every stage of a person’s journey out of homelessness. Its work includes outreach services, hostel support, prevention programmes and life-skills training aimed at helping individuals find stability and move towards independent living.
Laura Howard, marketing and creative director at Curlett Jones Estates, says: “As a Liverpool-based estate agent, we’re always keen to stand behind charities who support our local community.
“The Whitechapel Centre does incredible work helping people across the Liverpool region who are facing homelessness or struggling to live independently, and their support is needed more than ever at this time of year.
“We’re honoured to be fundraising for such an inspiring local charity and would encourage everyone to get involved or donate if they can.”
