Sourced Development Group has submitted a pre-application to Liverpool City Council to transform derelict wasteland into a £30 million ‘gateway’ to the city centre.
Carlton Court will deliver 123 one and two-bedroom apartments with two-bed duplex apartments alongside mixed-use and co-working retail space.
Situated on West Derby Road, the development site is a five-minute drive from Liverpool city centre. The communal facilities will feature landscaped gardens, parking facilities with dedicated car parking spaces and secure cycle storage.
Extensive clearance works have been carried out on site by Sourced Development Group as it aims to “breathe new life” into the area. Working closely with Liverpool City Council, the company hosted vital works enabling the restoration and improvement of the historic Tuebrook which runs to the back of the site and gives the area its name.
Carlton Court is part of Sourced Development Group’s plans to deliver 3,000 homes across the North West over the next three years, including the 310-home Kingsway Square Development and 614-home Westminster Park in Liverpool and the 525-home at Regent Plaza in Manchester.
Joanne Waller, managing director of Sourced Development Group, says: “Carlton Court will breathe further new life into North Liverpool.
“The stunning and impactful design will create modern homes and attractive retail space for visitors and new businesses out of a site that we are all familiar with.
“Having a landmark location turned into new homes will be wonderful for the local economy and the aesthetic approach into the centre centre will be further heightened after our success in Derby Court.
“We are generating another gateway into Liverpool City Centre which will produce hundreds of new jobs and apprenticeships as we transform an abandoned wasteland into a bustling and beautiful residential neighbourhood.
“Sourced Development Group are passionate about the transformation of this historic city while respecting the unique history of each area. This is no different with Carlton Court.
“While using original elements to inspire our design, the finished project will be an eye-catching development which will play a key role in the regeneration of the area.
“We’re looking forward to working with the city council, local councillors and stakeholders to create a scheme which everyone can be proud of.”
