Plans to redevelop a row of Grade-II listed Georgian townhouses on Liverpool’s Duke Street as part of a new apartment scheme have been revealed.

Davos Property Developments, which is owned by TJ Morris founder Thomas Morris and the retailer’s head of property David Little, has submitted proposals to Liverpool City Council which would see the remodelling of 118-126 Duke Street and the erection of a new part five/part eight-storey building.

The rear of the four listed properties, facing Henry Street, would be demolished to make way for the new build part of the development.

The scheme comprises 83 apartments in total (a mix of one, two and three-bedroom units) as well as retail/commercial space, a communal courtyard and roof terraces.

118-126 Duke Street has been the subject of two major planning applications in the last decade including a proposal in 2018/19 to redevelop the site into a 200-bedroom apart-hotel.

The latest scheme from Davos has been designed by Liverpool-based architect Falconer Chester Hall.
