Liverpool City Region housing firms were among the big winners at the Knowsley Business and Regeneration Awards 2016.
Housebuilder Countryside Properties, developer Barratt Homes and the non-profit Villages Housing Association were handed accolades during a glittering ceremony held at Knowsley Safari Park’s Grand Marquee.
Countryside was honoured in the Housing Deal/Investment of the Year category, Barratt took home Developer of the Year and Villages Housing Association bagged the Green Award at the event last night (24 November).
A total of 13 awards were presented to the businesses and individuals who the judging panel – which comprised senior figures from organisations across the North West – identified as drivers of economic success in the borough.
Hundreds of guests from Knowsley and beyond attended the awards and were treated to a three-course meal and entertained by singers and acrobats before a DJ spun tunes into the night.
Councillor Mike Murphy, Knowsley Council’s cabinet member for regeneration and economic development, says: “It is always a really positive evening as the awards celebrate and showcase some of the amazing talent, dedication and passion that we have here in Knowsley.
“We’re experiencing exceptional business growth in Knowsley and the awards are an opportunity for this to be recognised and demonstrate that Knowsley is a great place to work, invest and do business.”
