Johnny Vegas is filming a new comedy project from Ricky Tomlinson around Liverpool.

Your Move spotted the St Helens comedian shooting scenes for ‘Tommo, Dick and Harry’ on Henry Street in the city centre and caught up with him to find out more about his latest venture.

The project is currently a 10-minute “taster” based on a script from Ricky, who will also appear in the production alongside the ‘Benidorm’ star. The creative team aims to expand the piece if a network comes on board.

Johnny tells Your Move: “We’re shooting a taster for a piece Ricky Tomlinson has come up with about three pals trying to make their way in Liverpool, ducking and diving and falling afoul of various local characters.

“Ricky has pulled it all together himself working with a few local people. We’re doing this 10-minute taster in the hope that it will be picked up by a service.

“We’ve also shot some scenes in the Naval Club and all the local entertainers were there. It’s one of those comedies with a lot of art to it – the kind of stuff Ricky does really well.”
