Liverpool actress and TV star to return as host of prestigious industry awards

Liverpool-born star of stage and screen Claire Sweeney will return to host the YM Liverpool Property & Business Awards in November, marking her fourth consecutive year at the helm of the renowned industry event.

Familiar to audiences nationwide, Claire first rose to fame as Lindsey Corkhill in Channel 4’s Brookside and is currently best known for playing Cassie Plummer in Coronation Street. In addition to her television work, she has enjoyed an acclaimed career in musical theatre and on the West End stage.

A staple of the city’s corporate calendar since 2004, the YM Liverpool Property & Business Awards are organised by Your Magazine (YM) Liverpool – the city’s biggest and longest-running free magazine. The event brings together leading lights from the Liverpool City Region’s property and business sectors for an evening of celebration, networking, fine dining and entertainment.

This year’s ceremony will take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on 27 November 2025, where accolades will be handed out across a diverse range of categories including ‘Property Developer of the Year’, ‘Best Affordable Housing Scheme’, ‘Residential Property Agency of the Year’, ‘Business Leader of the Year’ and ‘LCR Business of the Year’.
