The owner of the Liverpool-based property firm behind a £90 million residential development on the edge of the Baltic Triangle has been honoured at this year’s Downtown in Business Awards.
John Morley of Legacie Developments was noted for his hard work, charitable support and apprenticeship scheme, as he was named Property Professional of the Year 2020.
Legacie’s achievements include the sensitive restoration of Water Street’s Reliance House and Dale Street shops, the construction of Renshaw Street’s £11 million Ropemaker Place, and the forthcoming Parliament Square development.
Last year, Legacie launched its first ever apprenticeship programme which has seen it recruit 10 young people from Merseyside who were not in education, employment or training.
John says: “I am passionate about developing Liverpool. We’re a city on the up and you can see why so many people want to work and live here. It is great to be a part of that with the work that we do.
“Legacie Developments is a construction and development company that has a proven track record of delivery.
“This award comes as we announced a new residential project in Liverpool. Element will be the city’s first major residential eco development.
“I’m excited to start work on that next year and for what the future holds for the company.”
