New short-stay apartments planned for city centre

A vacant office building on the edge of Liverpool’s commercial district could be transformed into serviced apartments under new plans.

The proposal, submitted by the team behind a trio of serviced apartment blocks in the city centre, includes eight rooms, marketed towards short-stay tourists.

The new apartments at Trueman Court, situated on Trueman Street, just off Dale Street, will include large living and kitchen areas alongside jacuzzi bathrooms

Plans for the development, submitted to Liverpool City Council by Alexander Ware, do not include any changes to the exterior of the building.

A planning document, included with the application states: “The proposed scheme in Liverpool seeks to provide highly desirable accommodation on an excellent site on Trueman Street.

“The people of Liverpool will also benefit from the development as it will expand their choice of high quality accommodation within the inner city near to the clubs and bars.”

Ware Apart Hotels, which currently operates a number of serviced apartments across the city centre including on Slater Street and Duke Street, is thought to be behind the proposals.
