The Red Bull Music Academy UK Tour is heading to Liverpool later this year as part of a month-long national series featuring shows, lectures and workshops.
The Liverpool leg will be held in some of the city’s most popular venues including Sefton Park Palm House, St George’s Hall and Camp and Furnace.
The arrival of the Red Bull Music Academy UK Tour in Liverpool recognises the city’s place as a vital hub for music and culture.
It’s hoped that the tour will inspire the next generation of local talent by encouraging collaboration and creative exchanges by building on the academy’s 20-year association with the development of musical exchanges.
The tour will present club nights, studio sessions, AV shows, art installations, radio broadcasts and intimate live lectures, featuring a wide range of genres from hip hop, grime and soul, to house, techno, garage and electro.
The Liverpool programme includes entertainment from Jamie Woon, a Red Bull Music Academy alumni, who welcomes the Liverpool leg of the tour with a mesmerising showcase of future soul at Sefton Park Palm House.
A range of other artists including Detroit icon Moodyman, Hunee b2b Young Marco, Krept & Konan, Sassy J and D Double E also perform throughout the Liverpool leg of the tour in various venues across the city.
The tour will arrive in Liverpool on 6 October and will last until 9 October and will also visit Glasgow, London and Leeds for a similar series of back-to-back mini festivals.
