The Momentum Group reports social value growth for third consecutive year

Liverpool-based property services company The Momentum Group has reported an increase in staff volunteering and a reduction in carbon emissions per employee in its latest annual Impact Report.

The B Corp-certified business has published its results for the 2025/26 financial year, detailing progress across four areas of social value: People, Place, Planet and Professionalism.

The report, its third covering social value, reveals that the number of employees taking part in volunteering activities increased by 40%, while the hours contributed to community causes almost doubled, rising by 98% to 322 hours.

Momentum also supported seven apprenticeships during the year and joined the 5% Club, an organisation encouraging employers to provide workplace training opportunities. Some 17% of its workforce is now in ‘earn and learn’ positions.

Environmental figures show that carbon emissions per employee fell by 15%, while van use, identified as one of the company’s main sources of emissions, was reduced by 18%.

The business is now preparing a more detailed carbon reduction plan, which is expected to be introduced during the 2026/27 financial year.

Elsewhere, Momentum achieved ISO 9001 certification in November 2025, adding to its existing environmental and occupational health and safety accreditations. It was also named among the Sunday Times Best Places to Work for 2026.

The latest publication combines the company’s social value reporting with its annual health and safety review for the first time.

Chris Bliss, co-founder and director, says: “Social value isn’t something we do alongside our work; it’s part of how we work. Every year we strive to do more, and this report shows we’re doing just that.

“More of our team giving their time, more people finding routes to work, and lowering emissions from our vans. We know there are areas where we can still grow, and we look forward to reporting on our progress next year.”
