St Helens residents can now have their say on a 30-year vision for the area which will steer the development of new homes and employment land.

A public consultation has been launched for the Liverpool City Region borough’s Local Plan, and a series of drop-in events will get underway today (7 December).

St Helens Council is calling for people living in the area to provide feedback on its ‘preferred options’ to transform the area and help secure its future growth.

Events are scheduled to take place from now until mid January across the borough, enabling residents to view the plan and speak to members of the local authority’s planning policy team.

Feedback can then be submitted to the council until the consultation closes at 12pm on 30 January 2017 via official forms, which are available online or in hard copies at the Town Hall Planning Reception and libraries.
