A purpose-built big top tent at Knowsley Safari Park will host nine weeks of major events this spring and summer – starting with M People’s Heather Small, Sam Divine and The Shapeshifters.

The Knowsley Social tent will house 200 socially distanced pods for friends and families to enjoy “show-stopping” music concerts and events including Bongo’s Bingo and Liverpool Disco Festival.

The exclusive pods will be two meters apart and include table service comprising various dining and beverage options. A number of luxury VIP pods are also available.

‘One Night in Heaven’ and ‘Proud’ singer Heather Small, who had a string of ‘90s smash hits singles with M People, will be the first headline performer.

The songstress is planning a night to remember on Friday 21 May before Sam Divine and The Shapeshifters take to the Knowsley Social stage on Saturday 22 May.

As the country comes out of lockdown, organisers say The Knowsley Social will give the North West “a packed programme of amazing entertainment and something to look forward to”.

Danny Thompson from The Knowsley Social says: “We are incredibly excited to be announcing details of the Knowsley Social which will give people a very special, unique experience as we come out of lockdown.

“Nowhere else will people get VIP table services and amazing events to remember inside a purposely built big top tent. It is incredibly exciting.

“We’ve got  a packed programme of amazing entertainment, big name performers and family events that will give everyone something to look forward to.

“There will be something for all ages including top quality family shows such as Brainiac Live.”

The Knowsley Social will also include Britain’s first major socially distanced LGBT+ event featuring S Club and Cheryl Hole. Liverpool Disco Festival will also be taking over the tent for a series of big music nights too.
