Vintage clothing retailer We Are Cow is set to open a branch on Bold Street in Liverpool city centre at the former site of the Giancarlo Ricci shoe store.

Shop fitting is currently in progress with a view to a late September to early October opening.

We Are Cow, which specialises in affordable vintage clothing and accessories sourced from around the world, already has outlets in Sheffield, Manchester, Birmingham and Nottingham, and also sells its wares through other retailers such as Topshop.

A spokesperson for We Are Cow tells Your Move: “Liverpool is a great city and there’s always been a need for vintage retailers here. We Are Cow has been proactive when it comes to expanding into new cities and Liverpool has always been on the list.

“It’s a cultural city and we’ve been growing quite drastically over the last couple of years. We decided to make the move now because the right property came up in the right location.”

Like the retailer’s stores in Manchester and Sheffield, the Liverpool branch’s layout will be based on plans from interior designer Peter Masters and will be built from reclaimed materials to give it a “rustic yet cleanly presented” look.
