Symphony Housing Group has appointed Bronwen Rapley as its new chief executive.
Rapley, who is currently the deputy director of Investigation and Enforcement at the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), will replace Phil Gandy.
The Symphony Housing Group is made up of the Liverpool Housing Trust which owns and manages over 11,000 properties across Merseyside, and Cobalt Housing which operates 6,000 homes in the north of the city.
Dr Neil Goodwin CBE, chair of the Symphony Housing Group board, says “I’m delighted that we have secured Bronwen to lead us during the coming years.
“She will be a great asset to Symphony and I look forward to her working with us on enhancing service delivery and strategic development for our tenants, staff and stakeholders.”
Rapley, 54, has worked in housing for 25 years, first as a solicitor and then for 12 years in the housing sector in the North West.
Speaking on her appointment, Rapley says: “I am very pleased to be joining Symphony at this time of change and challenge for the housing sector.
“It will be a privilege to work with people whose passion and ability to make a positive difference in the communities we serve is so evident.”
Symphony is the biggest social landlord focused only on the North West, owning and managing 41,000 homes across Merseyside, Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Cheshire.
