Taylor Wimpey North West is the new kit-sponsor for the Prescott-based Mags Junior Football Club’s under 10’s team.

House builders Taylor Wimpey have provided the ‘2012 Merseyside Club of the Year’ under 10’s team with 14 new training jackets and sweatshirts. Kenny Rushton, the team manager at the Mags Junior Football Club, says they were ‘incredibly grateful’ for Taylor Wimpey’s generosity.

“We’re proud to be supported by such a big brand partner, which hopefully will encourage the Mags team to grow and develop, especially after facing the difficulty of attracting sponsorship”, commented Rushton.

Taylor Wimpey chose to support the Mags team because of the proximity of its grounds to the company’s Speakman Gardens development.

Stuart Craig, the sales manager for the Speakman site, said: “As a property developer, we’re keen not only to build homes but also to build and engage with the local community, and with the club on Speakman Gardens’ doorstep, this was ideal.

“Especially given that there are many young families on the development that might be interested in joining the club. The Mags clearly fosters incredible talent across the board and we wish the best of luck to all the teams for the rest of the season”.
