Work is set to begin converting one of Dale Street’s historic buildings into 35 luxury apartments, the developers behind the scheme have announced.

Goodman Wells announced plans to refurbish the Princes Building into a high-end residential development in January.

The developer says it is now ready to start work on the scheme.

Paul Burgess, managing director of Goodman Wells, says: “There is a great deal of residential development being delivered in the city centre at the moment, but we’re looking to deliver something that’s distinctive and desirable.”

All 35 of the apartments have been sold off-plan

Selling agent, Claire Birchall, of Century 21 says: “This has been a really enjoyable and rewarding project to market. It’s a great product in a really outstanding and beautiful building. It’s a piece of Liverpool heritage that is being lovingly and expertly restored.”

Goodman Wells is now set to submit plans for the second phase of the £8 million scheme which will see the refurbishment of the adjacent Cheapside Warehouse to create six loft-style duplex apartments.
