Last orders called at Pogue Mahone

One of Liverpool’s best-loved Irish pubs has closed its doors for the final time.

The team behind Pogue Mahone has announced via social media that its lease at the Seel Street venue has ended after 20 years.

A firm favourite with Liverpool’s student population and anyone craving a proper pint of Guinness, Pogue’s was a popular spot for watching live sports events including GAA, football and rugby.

The closure of Pogue’s after 20 years is no doubt a sad day but there is still a couple of cracking Irish pubs left in the city centre for you to try.
