Top Liverpool tourist attraction RLB360 has experienced a 200% surge in bookings after a starring role in The Batman.

The Royal Liver Building was transformed into the Gotham City Police Department for the blockbuster superhero movie which has grossed well over $500 million worldwide.

Fans are coming from all over the world to stand in the same spot as the caped crusader on top of the historic building.

Chris Devaney, RLB360 operations manager, says: “It was a great privilege to have The Batman filmed here. The building is such a big part of Liverpool’s identity, and to see it appear along with other Liverpool locations on the big screen is great for the city.

“We have experienced a huge increase in tour sales compared to our normal numbers for comparative months.

“Our attraction really is a great opportunity for Batman fans to feel like their favourite superhero.”

The Royal Liver Building appears alongside other Liverpool locations in the film including St George’s Hall and is likely to return in future outings for Robert Pattinson’s Dark Knight as it has become the headquarters for the Gotham City Police Department.

RLB360, which is operated by Heritage Great Britain, was also recently voted ‘Most Remarkable Attraction in the UK’ by ticketing platform Tiqets, and was up against the likes of the Vatican Museums for the title of ‘Most Remarkable Attraction in the World’.
