Greenwood Developments has been revealed as the headline sponsor for the upcoming YM Liverpool Property & Business Awards 2022.

Fresh from its acquisition of Mathew Street’s Cavern Walks, the Liverpool-based real estate investment and development firm has put its name to the major industry event which will take place at Hilton Liverpool City Centre on 30 November.

The lavish evening will see property and business leaders from across the Liverpool City Region gather under one roof to reflect on another 12 months of achievements.

Hosted by Liverpool-born star of stage and screen Claire Sweeney, this year’s ceremony marks the return of the city’s most prominent awards event since the COVID-19 pandemic.

Accolades will be handed out in a range of categories including ‘Property Developer of the Year’, ‘Residential Property Agency of the Year’, ‘Business Leader of the Year’ and ‘LCR Business of the Year’.

One of the North West’s fastest-growing real estate investment and development companies, Greenwood Developments recently acquired Cavern Walks for £7 million as part of a joint venture with JSM Company Group.

Craig Greenwood, managing director at Greenwood Developments, is pledging to bring back the ‘Merseybeat boom’ to Mathew Street with his plans for the city centre destination which include a brand new hotel and entertainment space.

Work has already started on the venue, which will be known as The Cavern Walks Hotel, with Craig anticipating rooms could be available as early as next summer.

Craig, who is also the founder of successful Liverpool-based air conditioning and ventilation business Everkool, says: “I’m delighted we’re able to support the YM Liverpool Property & Business Awards 2022 as headline sponsor.
